Yeah okay so summer officially began a while back but really considering exams, essays and work it still felt like summer hadn’t arrived. Anyway, on the last radio show Michael and I hailed it in by playing lots of upbeat ska and rock which went down really well. Based on feedback of the day, we recieved 23 emails over the course of the show. Which out of the 25 emails in total that day to the entire studio means I think we did pretty well. We brought out some old favourites and to my suprise we found Har Mar Superstar - Easy Pass which I decided we had to play. It was a good show, I did a god awful fade mid Can’t Touch This which I got ribbed for on air but it was funny because it was so obvious. Serves MC Hammer right for recording such a long song haha.
Following day we headed to town to get a Laptop for Michael. He finally settled on a minature 12″ Packard Bell. Good specs but he paid about £100 more purely for the novelty of it being small and having bioscan haha. John gave us a lift and then we all decided to head to Margate haha. It was pretty spontaneous, we grabbed a chocolate fondue set, fruit and a disc. Took us about half hour to get there and the drive was quality, through fields and little villages and everything. The beach was pretty quiet considering how hot the day was. So we set up base and chucked a disc around, played giant noughts and crosses with a frisbee and gibbon. Was just so laid back, awesome way to kick off the summer.
