I feel rather guilty for not updating this in a while. Then again I knew that if I even attempted at writing an entry I’d inevitably end up tweaking the design. Alas, goodbye horrid green and hello blue blue and more blue. It’s a bit less bright and a lot more compact so it shouldn’t waste too much space. I should really tidy up the code and make it my own theme as I’ve changed almost everything about it except the side bar. That’s going on the to do list.
So, what have I been up to? Well again i’m back in Sutton, I became really ill with acute tonsillitis and confirmation that my stress disorder is back so I ventured home to rest and recouperate. Since being back I’ve ended up saving quite a lot of money as I’ve not had to buy my weekly shop and go out with Uni friends. However it’s not staying in my account for long as I’ve got trips planned.
Trip 1…Isle of Man!
Over 300 miles from Sutton to Liverpool and then from Liverpool over to Douglas. Costing me about £60 in travel as the ferry alone is £40 (nuts!) but it’ll be worth every penny as the island is beautiful and the person I’m visiting even more so. Apparently we’ll go camping, drive to various landmarks about the place and at some point cook a big roast dinner. I’m not too sure about that but we’ll see haha. I’m always paranoid about cooking for others, let alone for a girlfriend and her mother haha! It’ll be a great time though, I’m really looking forward to it.
Trip 2: Stockholm!
After a lot of blackmail from Kazzie, Christy caved and decided she wanted to go to Stockholm to see Muse in October. So I was then convinced it would be a great idea to go and no matter how skint I was, I’d be able to afford it. Well some how they were right and i’ve now got my flights booked for an easy £42. Even though it’s just 3 days it will be great. We’ll do some sight seeing on the 20th and 21st and then see Muse in the evening. The venue is apparently quite small and all standing so it should have a fantastic atmosphere, although I’m a bit worried that it will be a let down as it’s not as grand as Wembley Stadium but not quite as intimate as Shepard’s Bush. Either way I’ll be in great company and I’m bound to have an amazing time.
Next uni term starts on the 24th of September, not looking forward to it since it’s the 3rd and final year and my entire degree is resting on how well I do in this. I’ve just got to work incredibly hard. I’m aiming for a 2:2, I’m not going to get a 1st or 2:1 after my abysmal 2nd year but I think I might be able to salvage a 2:2. Also on top of that I’m hoping to secure an earlier slot for the Idle Talk show as well as maybe line up a chart show since that’s pretty easy to arrange. I have to start emailing folks about that.
