Stockholm Day 3 25Oct07

I slept in until like 11 as I was so tired from the travelling the previous day. It was almost 24 hours awake, running on barely 3 hours sleep and a bit of cider inside me so yeah…not good. We decided to hunt down some food so we ventured to Taco Bar. Tacos for breakfast was immense, best idea we had all weekend. Kazzie meanwhile grabbed another Hotdog and we planned the day ahead.

After breakfast we looked in a load of shops, watched Kazzie waste away what little money she had left and bought some postcards. In the shops I found an awesome pair of white rimmed sunglasses that were incredibly new rave. I was really tempted to buy them as a joke but opted out as the trip was already causing me to bleed money.

We eventually settled down in a really cosy cafe, with some carrot cake and tea. Kazzie and I were taking lots of pictures, attempting a few one shot challenges but failing miserably. Considering that we were in Stockholm for barely a week we thought it would be smart to write the postcards early on, that way they might actually have had a chance to reach their recipients before we did. I think we sent 6 in total to various people, all contained a picture of cock because we r reet mature liek!

Afterwards we made our way to the gig which was past Södermalm near The Globen which was a big venue shaped like a globe oddly enough. After finding Mona’s friend who we sold Kazzie’s old ticket to we ventured to get our guestlists and then into the venue. It was a hockey rink and the stage was at the half way mark so it was a pretty small gig. Not the smallest I’ve been to but still enough of a contrast to Wembley Stadium. It was a fantastic gig. Kev noted that the set list was pretty generic but it was the little details that made it so good. Banging on the barriers, singing and dancing like freaks and of course…taking the complete michael out of invincible.

After the gig we tracked down mona and met TOM KIRK! I haven’t spoken to Kirk before, only seen him in passing so was good to say a big thanks to him for the guest list. He seemed cool. I must resist being an absolute n00b but kirk’s awesome haha! After that we hung out talking to people for a while and then made our way back to the hostel. We stopped off a stop early to get some food. We tracked down the Sweedish version of Kebab land and had the most monumental meal ever. It was lovely! Might have been the post gig hunger but still…was awesome.

We made our way to the hostel and slept…knowing that we had to be up and out by 11am. It took me a while to get to sleep because I was restless so to pass time I built a fort and then dubbed it the nu rave tent after playing some electro and raving in there. :D
