I went into the studio today and checked out the new playout system that we’re starting to use called Myriad and it looks pretty swish. Tomorrow I’ll get a real chance to play with it and see how extensive it is, but at the moment it looks like we’ll be able to do a pretty good job with it. Currently when we’re not on air we use the standard sustainer that’s linked to a pretty shoddy playlist which is extremely random and doesn’t really reflect the right time of day. However with the new system we’re able to schedule playlists for non-presented segments as well as prerecord shows and have a full log of tracks played. […]

Since meeting Michael the topic of being immersed in a Zombie apocalypse has come up quite a lot, too much some might argue, but still it’s arisen. When watching zombie films, everyone spots and criticises bad mistakes no matter how many times the characters make them. The question that always arises however is, “what’s your plan?” and what I’ve since discovered is that everyone has one, no matter how basic or detailed, they still have an idea of what to do if the worst happens. You can forget wanting to change the environment, protecting endangered species, the lust for power and money, preparation for a zombie apocalypse is what unifies us as a species. […]

After what’s been a long long long downtime, Studio is finally back! I decided to consolidate my blog and portfolio sites into one that really showed off what I could do with a website. With this new site there’s an all new gallery which is completely automated, revised information on the website’s I’ve built as well as new additions and most importantly an all new brand. The site’s powered by Wordpress and is based on the unsleepable theme, although it’s been heavily customised. Any bugs then let me know, otherwise enjoy having a nosey at the now home of my online shenanigans.
