1. New Wordpress! 30Mar08

After a lot of waiting we’ve finally all got our hands on Wordpress 2.5 and I must say it’s pretty sleek. Unlike most blogs I can’t really offer a huge insight into the technical aspects of what’s new but I will say this, sliding navigations are sexy.

So really there’s no point this post except to check out the new features. Old site should run just the same as before, found a bug with the gallery that’s now fixed. Any issues give me a shout (except the comments css, still haven’t done that).

Work on the freelance sites is very slow at the moment, still waiting on a load of information from both sources. It’s a good thing really since I have to get all of this university work over and done with before I can concentrate on earning a pretty penny. Should be fun though. I can’t wait until Friday, it will be glorious being free!

  2. Dry Spell 29Mar08

I’ve just realised that I haven’t blogged here in a while which is terrible considering that I went through a phase of blogging non-stop. So, excuses? Well to put it very simply, I’m tied up with University. This time next week I’ll have finished term and will be one step closer to completing my degree. I still have an immense amount of work to do throughout the week though. I have to send out mass amounts of emails to various people ensuring that I’m getting all the work done that is neccessary. I’m kind of edgey about it all since this really is crunch time. Scary.

  3. New Project 21Mar08

    track

I said I wouldn’t, but alas I am. Yes, I’m working on a new project, one that involves a lot of planning and testing before I even attempt at going live with it. I won’t reveal too much about it now except that it’s an all new Podcast, but I’m not 100% on whether it will come to fruition or not, but I’m coding and planning at the moment in my spare time so we’ll see.

What I need for this though is people who may be interested in helping out and appearing on it. To give you a better idea on it’s format we’re looking for people with a good knowledge of music, focusing in particular on reviewing and commentary on the industry.

You’ll have to have reasonable mic skills and preparation time. Appearances aren’t full time so don’t require mass amounts of time to devote to this, you could appear on the show as a one off. If this sounds like something you’d want to get involved in either drop a comment on this post or email me at st95@kent.ac.uk and let me know.
