1. Entropy just isn’t what it used to be 15Mar08

Some news, I might be redesigning a website for a small backup band. This will be the first freelance website I’ll have made for money, I’m quite excited. Anyway onto the bloggosphering…

Upon realising yesterday that I am a mere 4 weeks away from the end of term and thus completion of University I’ve been reflecting on whether it was the right choice to make. Socially I couldn’t have made better decisions, I’ve made friends with some amazing people here and I doubt I’d have been lucky to have met them if I had deferred for the year like I previously planned. However whenever I look back on whether Philosophy was the correct decision to make I have to admit that it might not have been. […]

  2. Take Two 09Mar08

I went to the library today to try and get some work done for a presentation on St. Paul’s representation in film, hardly the most interesting subject in the world, which is why I spent most of the time in there making a second Haarp DVD trailer. Check it out with the YouTube clip in this post or check out a better quality version in my new Videos Gallery.

  3. Festivals 08Mar08

vfestThere’s something unique about the thrill of buying gig tickets. The eager wait until 9am, the preparation and most importantly the sense of achievement when you finally get that confirmation email. Perhaps I’m alone in feeling this but I love it.

Friday was the turn of VFestival, one of the UK’s biggest festivals. This year, being that Muse were headlining, we all decided to make a summer of it and go and enjoy ourselves. I’m really looking forward to it. Even though it’s a long wait until mid-August it feels like it’s next week, like summer is literally just around the corner.

Right as I’m typing this, Isle of Wight festival highlights are on and the stones are putting in a fantastic performance of Start It Up and it’s just reminding me about how festivals give people the chance to see bands they thought they’d never see, I’d have never seen the Fratellis before they’d been overplayed by the radio, I’d have never seen Seth Lakefield and I’m sure I’d have never paid to see Feeder since I’m not as bigger fan as I used to, but festivals made those things happen. They’re incredible.

So looking over the preliminary set list at the moment and there’s a few bands I’m so psyched about catching, Muse, Alanis Morrisette, Hot Chip, Chemical Brothers and Lenny Kravitz are just a few. I’m hoping that Justice and possibly a DJ set from Annie Mac will be one of the 60 bands added but I don’t think I’ll be lucky enough to get either. I think I might have to hold out for Radio 1’s big weekend to catch a set from Annie Mac, which is being held in Kent! Man I hope I get tickets!

    GOD I LOVE FESTIVALS!
